Final Web Mock-Up- Jeff Ashmore

For my web page mock-up I started with the background settings at 10 inches by 10 inches, and the resolution at 72 pixels. I then set the background colors using the gradient color #7FA39D from the kuler. The layer style for the gradient was set at linear burn 100% opacity, and the scale at 90%. Next I created the header frame using the rounded rectangle tool with a color of #BEBCA6. The next step was to place my first image. I used the layer style of blend mode Luminosity, 100% opacity. Advanced blending I set to blend clipped layers as a group, transparency shapes layer, and vector mask hides effects. Also used the bevel and emboss with contour, and stroke options to complete this step. Next I finished making the content and button boxes the same as the header box. Then I made the header text using Cooper STD font at 36 pt
with the color #396070. For the header text I went with vivid light, drop shadow, inner shadow,
outer glow, and bevel and emboss. In the right content box I used the same color as the header, but copy and paste some previously created text then used free transform to make
it fit properly. Next I took a cartoon vacuum can image that had a white background, and
used the magic wand tool to remove just the can from the white, and placed it in the right content box. I know it wasn't to difficult, but it was hard to find the picture that I wanted. I then put a drop shadow on the can at 29 degree angle and 20 px distance to give the feel its floating. For my buttons I created two boxes and used gradient overlay in my kuler scheme. Then I created the text with a beveled edge and contour. I like how it turned out, and my favorite
part is using the layer style to make everything look the way it does. There is a lot of control and options.
